artist statement:
It is the photographic manifestation of a question about evolution. I was just thinking one day about our eyesight. Why do human eyes see in focus? It sounds silly but I want to know how evolution decided over the years, that it was better for us that our eyes do see in focus rather than out of focus. It inspired me to take a few photos that were all out of focus to kind of explore this a bit more while I pondered it.
